Simple and ultra-compact headlamp for proximity lighting and some movement. 200 lumens

Simple and ultra-compact, the ZIPKA headlamp offers 200 lumen brightness and a wide beam. Its self-adjusting retractable cord, a Petzl patent, makes it extremely compact, and offers several possibilities for wearing or mounting. With its long burn time, it is practical for outdoor activities like camping or trekking, or for traveling, and also for daily activities and projects around the house. The phosphorescent reflector helps you find it in the dark, and the red lighting prevents members of a group from blinding each other. ZIPKA is a HYBRID headlamp that is also compatible with the CORE rechargeable battery.

The best head torch I've ever seen

I already had a petzl zipka, which I thought was the best head torch I could find. Unfortunately, some girl's hair got tangled in the zipping mechanism, so I needed to get a new one. They'd changed the design, so I was skeptical this one would live up to the classic I had, but boy was I surprised. The new features are great! The red light is pretty cool when you don't want to blind people, and the powerful main light is even better than the old model if you do! The killer feature for me though, is the glow in the dark ring, which charges from the light itself, so you can find it in the dark after you've finished using it. 100% satisfied, and considering buying another one just in case I need to lend it to anyone with long hair in future

this is my 2nd petzl, having ,owned the nao and there's plenty to love about the zipka. the set up is very practical - wearable on the head, or even hand. it's compact, powerful and versatile, with efficient power consumption.

Nice little unit

Tidy little backup headtorch, that's bright enough for most uses on its own. Loses one star as it doesn't have a lock to prevent erroneous switching when it's in your bag/pocket, but so far (two weeks) this hasn't been a problem. I love the retracting cord system, keeps things tidy, and I had an original Zipka before, and long hair, and didn't have problems with snagging.
