I ordered the cap in L/XL because otherwise the caps are usually too small and this cap fits very comfortably. The umbrella is wide and protects well from rain. I've already worn the cap for 1 hour in heavy rain and didn't feel like I was getting wet. Afterwards the inside was a bit damp. The cap felt dry while running. It probably won't withstand a really heavy rain for several hours, but so far I haven't found one that's really tight and it's the most comfortable cap I've found so far. A possible small disadvantage: you can't really adjust the size. At the back it has a click closure and a wide elastic band. L/XL fits me very well, so I don't have to adjust them, but my head circumference is 58 cm.
