Based on the original Clepsydra, the Clepsydra S has been designed to accomodate a Gri Gri perfectly. Due to the shape of the carabiner, a Gri Gri won´t be able to slip round and cross load the carabiner. The wiregate on the bottom of the carabiner ensures correct orientation whilst belaying.

It looks very well finished, and being small it greatly limits unwanted movement due to the gri gri carabiner, or the reverse. And not being able to forget to close the carabiner is a plus.

I bought the carabiner for use in winter (ice climbing, alpine tours, expedition mountaineering) because you have an ideal combination of safety (autolock), operation (even with gloves) and still no danger of icing.

I have the Clepsydra L K10G and this one its younger brother the SK10GS ... they are magnificent, unique and impeccably finished. They adjust well to any type of belayer, avoid cross loading and can be operated with one hand and with gloves, they work very well with automatic systems (Birdie, Grigri, Revo or ATC type), although with the latter I do not suggest it. the wear between the rope and the carabiner. Overall I am delighted with this double door system ... Very good for GRIVEL.

The perfect carabiner to use with a Grigri. Very fast to clip once you get the hang of it and good protection against cross-loading. The carabiner feels sturdy and isn't too large compared to other brands.

This carabiner works really well for auto locking devices like the GriGri. The double gate design takes some getting used to but is actually really nice.

A great carabiner for belaying and glacier travel. I bought two as I was afraid I would not be able to get a second when I retired my first. Awesome, safe and easily used with gloves.

I bought two of these carabiners to use in my top rope solo setup. With a layer or two of climbing tape wrapped around the crossload preventing “horn”, it ensures that the Kong Duck and Edelrid Spoc that I use as my mechanical rope grabs stay exactly in the position I need them to be. These carabiners are easy to handle and lightweight as well. I am very happy with them and recommend them to others.

Great for using with a Petzl Shunt as it is almost impossible to rotate or for the shunt to move from the correct position on the biner. Light weight too.
