The upper of the Trovat Advanced II High GTX is made of terracare® leather, elegant nubuck leather with a brushed finish that is bluesign® thanks to its sustainable production. The 2-Zone lace closure gives you unparalleled support thanks to its unique design.

Solid boot with cushioning

I´ve worn it for thousands of kms, with adequate results. After long walk, the boots feel heavy. The membrane and layers are soft and comfortable. The inner sole has a good attenuation, specific to Mammut. The shoelaces sometimes escape the 1st hook, the tongue slides outwards.
The boots keep warm, are protecting from moisture. I have not used them in rain. In wet and tall grass, it repels the water droplets.
The toecap is resilient. The rubber layer wears slowly; there is no sign of pronounced defects visible today.
Some improvements would be a narrower form, lighter, with a toeshape that is less bent, like a zuchini instead of a banana. Keep the leather, the Vibram sole, heel, inner layer and inner sole as they are.

My second pair of MAMMUT hiking boots. One for light duty, this pair for more aggressive days. Awesome. Pure awesome. Comfortable. Durable. Amazing. I love them. Yes. I love these boots. MAMMUT is superb. Trekkinn? Get outta here. They're incredible!!! Great products. Super fast shipping!!! Again! To my door in the US in about 10 days. Seriously. From Spain to the Netherlands to my front door in record time! I think some of my Amazon orders take longer from 20 miles away. Trekkinn rocks!!!

Bit of a random question, and I do plan on buying a pair of these boots! But what trousers is the person wearing in the feature pictures?

Is it a product for a tropical country??

Good morning! I would like to know if this product warms the feet? Because I´m from a tropical country and I don´t want a boot that warms up. Thanks.

The Trovat Advanced is a big, tough hiking boot with a thick and high quality nubuck upper. It also has rubber / TPU rock protection around the boot and a heavyweight PU midsole. My wife and I both have this both and we love it but I wouldn´t used it all year round. It´s ideal for long walking trips in cold countries. It´s water proof and you can treat the leather to make sure it remains so. The goretex membrane is no more or less breathable in this shoe than others but the shoe itself runs a bit warm simply due to its construction. Unless you need a very durable hiking boot, I would look for something lighter and less warm for hiking in a tropical country.

They´re not thermal boots so it will depend on what socks you wear. I´ve worn them in winter with wool socks, and summer with cotton. They seem to maintain normal body temp. Hope that helps!
